Feed Me…

Found thanks to this article, FeedReader is an application that “reads & displays Internet newsfeeds aka RSS feeds based on XML.” Looks interesting – try it out. And if you’re curious, my XML feed is right here.

Do It For the Girls…

So Robyn has been working hard all week to collect money to get Statia to Florida. Lots of money has been raised, and now anything extra is going for breast cancer research. (You can read more about it here!)

I had to find some time to take a photo for her – so when I was sitting at the Ren Fest today waiting for a show to begin, I realized the opportunity was right beneath my nose all along! Want to see how it turned out?

What a Day…

What a day it has been. Not a bad day at all – it’s gorgeous outside, sunshine and blue skies for a change, and I woke up early and had a good start to the day – but it’s been a busy, busy day!

I started off with two meetings this morning, one from 10:00 – 11:30 or so and another from 12:15 – 1:00. Then Kymberlie and I headed out for a scrumptious lunch of chips & queso and fajitas that were just fantastic! Photos from our trip coming soon! Then it was back to the office to work on 20 different projects (or so it seemed) at the same time. *Whew!* I need a nap!

After work I’m off to Michael’s to look for flowers to make a hairpiece for the Ren Fest. Tonight it’s dinner with the gaggle of friends (term coined by Kathy) at Robert, Oskar & Joe’s new house. Tomorrow is the trip up to the Ren Fest with the H-Town Bloggers – and the weather should be a lot nicer then it was last weekend, so there will be lots of photo opportunities! I can’t wait!

Since I won’t be around too much in the next day or so, here are some Fresh Friday Finds for you to enjoy! They may not be new to you, but they are new to me! (Or they were missing from my Blogroll and I want to point them out to you as I add them!) To keep you busy it’s a Baker’s Dozen!

I’m Coming Out… Want the World to Know…

Don’t you hate it when you have a post brewing in your mind and you just don’t have time to post it? I’ve been composing this one mentally since Sunday, but just haven’t had enough time to stop and gather my thoughts to write them all out. Matter of fact, they may not be too coherent right now, but I don’t feel like putting this off any longer.

The secret is out. As Ciscley has so wisely observed, some Mikes can leave a girl “smitten like a kitten”. Matter of fact, that’s the phrase I’ve been using for over a month now.

So why the whole “DateMan” thing? Because it just didn’t seem smart to say too much at first. What if things didn’t work out as they have? We both live in Houston and we have a lot of mutual friends. Just made sense at the time.

But I blog about almost everything. So in the past week or so I realized I had hit the point where it needed to be said. It’s just strange for me to not blog about things. Yesterday Kymberlie asked me to post about “Reasons for Love” and I realized it would be the perfect segue – but I didn’t have time to write the post. I could gush on and on about why he’s wonderful, but for now you can just take my word for it.

So there you have it. Yes, CoffeeCorner Mike is Dateman. D and AnnElizabeth had it figured out before Mike went over to London. Statia asked me about it just the other day. Michele said in my comments earlier, “Oh like I didn’t figure out you were dateman. Please.” If you’ve been following along here, you already had it figured out too, didn’t you?

Now I’m going off to meet up with Matt, Mike, Kathy and Elaine for coffee at Kaveh Kanes, where I first met Mike back in September. Wow, it really seems so much longer ago then that. Someday I’ll have to fill you in on the rest of the details, but for now I need to run!
