Testing…

Testing the new ping. If you’re wondering what on earth I’m talking about, check out ScriptyGoddess. Today is my play day after I finish up some more housework. I need to add and fix different things on this site, and meanwhile Matt is looking at my CSS so that I can come closer to the ultimate goal of being validated. Well, you know, with web standards and things like that.

If you could see anythign on this site – what would it be? What should I add? What am I missing? And an even bigger question – what skin do you use for this site? The white one with pictures, the gray one with pictures, the pink wafer cookie one, they gray cookie space ship or the psychedelic pink flower one?

Blogomania & The PHP Upgrade…

Did you notice some wonky behavior with my site yesterday? That was thanks to an Apache rebuild on the server I am on. There was also a PHP upgrade to the latest and greatest version which is now causing problems with existing code now. Thanks to Kristine for finally determing last night that part of the issue is people that have used Sara’s skin tutorial. So if you’re hosting with Blogomania, you need to use absolute paths to retrieve your cookiecheck file and probably for other things too. So you need to change things to look like this
/home/path/to/file/cookiecheck.php instead of using http://yoursite.com/path/to/file/cookiecheck.php.

Jennifer has also found issues with her add-a-link script. You can read more details on that on the ScriptyGoddess site.

A New Home…

I still have to rescue Sudsalicious from the hell of Network Solutions, and it’s going to take me a few days longer than I have right now. Since my full business name on my DBA is Sudsalicious Bodyworks, I decided to register SudsaliciousBodyworks.com as a back-up! The other address still works, but from now on you can use the new domain to get there too! Plus it’s something I don’t mind printing on the business cards I’m making tomorrow!

Evil Bastards!

Thanks to Gina, I learned that iWon (evil bastards!) is installing Trojan spyware on computers! You can read all about what she had to go through to remove it; meanwhile I’m off to download and run Spybot – Search & Destroy Software that she found thanks to TechTV. As for iWon? Evil Bastards! I don’t care if they warn you or not, don’t mess with my computer like that!

Sooooo Good!

I just have to say thank you to Jason! Now you can set up your Blogroll to display a partial list and then offer a “show all” option – just like he does on the Blogrolling site for the contributors list. My fun plans for this Saturday night? I’ll be adding this and the Events script to the site. Right now I’m going to enjoy the rainy Saturday afternoon and read a good book.
