Season Finales…

Tivo remembers to catch all of my favorite shows for me, but just in case – here is a list of when all of the season finales will air. [via Promoguy]

Speaking of season finales, did anyone watch the second Law & Order: Criminal Intent last night? Did you it give you flashbacks of the whole Kaycee Nicole thing that happened last year? Whoa. I kept thinking about that, over & over. It’s amazing the hoaxes that people pull off. I still feel bad about all of the kind-hearted people that were hurt by that. I was stunned myself when the truth came out – I would have never questioned it otherwise.

Ultimate Dodgeball?

First of all, let’s establish the fact that I hated playing dodgeball as I was growing up. Carmen & Theresa would often make me their favorite targets of doom, hurling the ball at me at speeds that probably can’t even be measured. It was hell with a hard plastic ball. So for that very reason, the idea of “Ultimate Dodgeball” with celebrities is horrible. Yet, Dodgeball Reality Series on Target for TV. Someone is shopping this idea around, hoping that someone will pick up this show. May the network gods spare us from this misery… [via Mer, the Drama Queen]

Turnoff

April 22nd to 28th is TV Turnoff Week. The purpose of the campaign is to leave your screens blank and “consider who’s been shaping the way they think.” Don’t they realize that this is the first week that a new Friends or ER is on NBC? I mean, come on! Actually, thanks to the Tivo, I don’t watch many commercials at all – I watch TV my way. Oh, wait … isn’t that an ad in itself?

For the Little House Fans…

Did you watch Little House on the Prairie? I did. I wanted to be just like Mary, but when my best friend & I played “Little House” (stop laughing!) she always made me be Laura because I was younger. I didn’t think this was very fair, since I was blonde after all and so was Mary, but at least she didn’t make me play Nellie. Nellie was mean. So it’s sort of fitting that her website is named Confessions of a Prairie Bitch, don’t you think? [via My Blue House, whose 2 year blogiversary is today!]

Not only did we play “Little House on the Prairie” and have bonnets to wear when we played, I have actually been to many of the Little House on the Prairie sites. DeSmit, South Dakota (my parents bought me a cool bonnet there that converted in to an apron); the location of the sod house in Minnesota; the place where her dog was buried by the house in Minnesota; the town where they lived in Iowa (book 3?). One year on our annual vacation my Mom & Dad made it a point to hit these spots for me, and we had a great time. How is that for cool parents? Also, this past summer coming back from Winona, MN up to the twin cities I noticed that we were on the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Highway, and we were right beside Lake Pepin – so the Little House in the Big Woods would have been right over on the other side in Wisconsin. Yes, I was a big “Little House” fan.

Baby Got Back?

Watching “Charlie’s Angels” and I have to say that I have a huge issue with Cameron Diaz dancing to “Baby Got Back” when she has absolutely no butt at all. Obviously the crowd watching in the movie agreed with me.
