Feed Me! Feed Me!

I’ve begged everyone to do it before, but here’s a second request. Please … pretty please … update your RSS feed to include your full blog posts. (Need more details? Read this.) Then – whether you update or not – leave me the address for your feed so I can add it to my news reader of choice, NewzCrawler.

If you’re looking for a different news reader, you can check out NewsDesk, NetNewsWire (for Macs), FeedReader, NewsGator, or AmphetaDesk. (Some links snagged from Lockergnome.)

What’s the big deal? Well, like Chris Pirillo said earlier this week – “If you don’t have a RSS file, I ain’t likely to return to your site. M’kay?” I do 85% of my blog reading in Newzcrawler, only hitting sites to leave comments. It makes things fast and easy for me, and results in more comments for you! (He also found the jackpot of RSS Feeds here, which includes news feeds like Jennifer & I were looking for recently.)

I picked up NewsDesk (mainly cuz it was free but NewzCrawler looked sweet) and it kicks ass! I just added all my blog reads to it. Now I’m gonna be on the bandwagon to get everyone to include full text! And while we are at it why not include comments too?

Mike, I have your feed. Not like you ever post, but I have it! Bwuhahaha!

Jay, I don’t include comments because every time someone leaves a new comment it would generate code implying that post had been updated – when I’m zooming through trying to make all of my feeds be “read” it would annoy me if they were coming back to life!

Yeah, I challenge myself to read them all. With MeFi and Boing Boing in my feeds, it doesn’t always happen!

ahhh….i feel so much better with my new feed. 🙂
