Today I received a call from a friend out in Virginia. We were talking about several different things, and as he normally does he asked me how the heat was down here in Houston. Let me tell you, it’s been HOT. I didn’t really realize just how hot though until I saw this on the news tonight. Since April 11th:
7 days: 80 – 84 degrees
15 days: 85 – 89 degrees
8 days: 90-91 degrees
As the weatherman was nice enough to point out – we haven’t reached 92 yet. But we all know it’s right around the corner … then it will be 97 every day. In case you wondered, the low tomorrow will be 74 and the high will be 90. Can someone send us some ice?

We’re just as hot and miserable down here in Florida — only we have topped the 92 mark a few times. And no rain in sight — haven’t had any since Kathy left. It went straight from cold to hot this year. We didn’t even get a couple of days of spring. One week it was in the upper 50s/low 60s, and the next, full-broil on. I’m miserable…
Honestly, I’m sitting here in CT freezing my butt off. It’s going to be a beautiful day but right now it’s about 50ish. Blah @ hot weather!

It can’t be easy, but you have such joy in your heart and it just shines though your son. Just look at that smile of his!
Although I am only able to observe from a (great) distance, it is apparent you are madly devoted to your boy.
And as a son (and a Dad), I knows me a good Mom when I sees one!

But it’s a DRY heat. LOL!! How many times have you heard THAT?
It’s 9:02 pm and the thermometer says 86. It’s been getting up to 94 here the last few days. At least the humidity isn’t that bad yet.
Oh, you never hear that it’s a dry heat here in Houston! It’s a 100% humidity at all times heat! Yes, one of the few places where it can hit 100% and not rain. Blech.
the high in boston is supposed to be 52 today. 🙁 where’s the happy medium? tennessee???
