My mother mentioned that a lot of times the artist has very little say over how he or she is publicized.
Their decision were very poor and I’m saddened that new yorkers had to see it like that, but I will never zip codes support the attitude that we can define what is and isn’t art.

Whoo hoo!!! I just discovered that Chey, the Gnome-Girl herself, was named Miss Gnomedex 2002! I’m so excited for her! Sigh… how I wish I was there! She has photos to share too – you can see them here, including Chey in her “Hottie” t-shirt!

What about a contest for the Worst Dress Contest?? Why not one for that, where the bride just looked God Awful? I think there are possibilities there. (A potential prize for the winner: a Mary Kay makeover.)
There’s a “Worst Bridesmaid” contest, Ed. But every woman is the most beautiful woman in the world on the day of her wedding — even if she looks like she’d be better off on the Mama’s Family set. 😉
Robyn, after having cruised thru those bridesmaid dress photo links that you provided [shudder], I’m proud to be a man.
(And NO, I never went to a school dance wearing a sherbet colored tux, looking like I was a refugee from a Puerto Rican gang!)
