Doing the happy dance this morning – I found some really cute capri pants on clearance a few months ago for about $7. They sort of fit, except I couldn’t zip them. For $7, they were too cute to pass up – so they became my “Goal #1” pants.
Guess what I wore to work today?
They will fit better in a few weeks, but they fit now. This totally makes up for the fact that I pushed myself to go to the gym last night in spite of a severe headache and tummy flutters. (I’ve felt quesy off and on all week, but last night was the worst.) I could not let myself slack off this early. No excuses!

you know, i’ve been struggling to keep motivated in going to the gym. sometimes it’s hard to get myself over there. maybe having a short term goal like that will help…
Congratulations! Way to Go!
Congrats! It’s always good to have “goal clothes”! It keeps us focused and allows us to chart progress without having one eye on the scale.
I am a firm believer in losing inches over pounds. Sure, I want to lose pounds too – but if I could wear a size or two smaller clothes, be more tone, but only lose 3 pounds, I would be cool with that. I have a few “goal” items in my closet!
I too sometimes have to drag myself to the gym. Ususally if I have a headache or feel generally bad I feel better if I go to the gym. I use that to get myself there! Congrats on the goal pants! It always helps to get that sort of positive reinforcement! Keep at it!
yeah! way to go!
way to go! i don’t have any goal clothes… except maybe the upper sleeves in my shirts… like my button downs? it’s getting a little suffocating… i’ve been the same size forever!!! but i agree – lose inches not necessarily pounds… you don’t want to fly away.
that’s fantasic!! congrats! 😀
