Jason and Work

Jason came up to work with me today. All day. New Gameboy Advance Mario Bros. game in hand, and he sat very quietly and played that all day. He was at the office yesterday too from 2-6 with me. My boss was so wonderful and understanding – he told me this afternoon not to stress or worry about it, I was not going to upset anyone by bringing him, it was “absolutely not a problem” him being up here. “He has been very well behaved, very quiet, and as a matter of fact he brings a refreshing spirit to the office. He is really a great kid.” Awww… Here I have been worried, because at this point in time I have nothing lined up for Friday for him. I don’t really want to bring him up here again though because I am afraid he will be bored out of his mind. One of the guys that is on vacation this week has a TV in his office, I may see if he can watch that. He will be here with me tomorrow morning, but in the afternoon is going over to play with his friend Kevin. Everyone else is either out of town or busy with back to school things and I don’t want to impose on them.

It really gave me a good peace of mind, a nice sense of calm hearing the boss say that. I haven’t said it in awhile (I think it all the time though) – I *love* my new job!

Sherry, if you had been there with us in North Dakota a month ago – you would have worried too! It was my first concern actually – what bothered me is that she let my uncle’s comment get to her so much. She wasn’t just worried that he would be bad (he was suffering from a ‘tude in July, just wasn’t himself.) but that someone would say something. As I said… they can just BITE ME.
