I received my Lomo on a cloudy day, so the first round of pictures I took with it weren’t that great. I didn’t give up though – I loaded up a second roll of film and went off on another photo hunt. I just finished off the second roll and had them developed today and there were definitely more “keepers” in this batch! Mad props to Heather for the tip on shooting in bright sunlight – that really helped give some of them the “Lomoesque” zing! Brightly colored subjects helped too. Don’t think, just shoot…
I’ll post some of them over the next few days in the Pixelog. Of course, if you’re using a skin with the most recent photo, you’ll be among the first to see them!

I’m so jealous!
I have my heart set on getting a Lomo. -Can’t wait for the pictures.
Pictures ^-^ Nice page you got *munches a pink cookie*
Woo hoo! More Lomos! Go make yourself a lomohome. They’re fun and you can win $50 worth of Lomo stuff from their store. If you can believe this I won the “Lomo home of the day” within a week of setting mine up. And I thought “wow! something I can be good at just for being really BAD at it!!!!!”
I’ve already made a Lomohome, I just need to start adding pictures over there! Hopefully I’ll find time this weekend.
wanna post those hints here for us? 🙂 please?
Those were her hints – to take photos in bright sunlight for best results. To shoot things that already have some contrast.
She is using Kodak Gold 200 film normally. I’ve been using Fuji Superia 100, my normal film of choice.
Oh! And one more … that .8 setting is actually a few feet (maybe 3-4 feet?) away. I’ve been using either that or the infinity setting – but not the ones in the middle.
