Heard at our house at midnight, New Year’s Eve:
Mike: “Happy James Bond year!”
Me: *blank stare*
Me: “Huh?”
Mike: “Get it? 007? Come on, I can’t be the only one to think that!”
… Wait. Is midnight, New Year’s Eve really January 1, or December 31st? Oh, it is so confusing. Whatever, Mike said it at about 12:01 on 1/1/007. (Yes, I meant to leave off the 2. Just for Mike.)

Did he have some of the bubbly by that time?! I think it’s kinda cute…
He’s funny! You have to keep him forever!
Here’s your “official” answer from a Math and Science teacher (me!). Midnight is technically Jan. 1st–a “day” runs from 12:00 (and zero seconds) a.m. to 11:59 (and 59 seconds) p.m. Scientific clocks change their date to the next “day” as soon as the clock changes to midnight. The U.S. military and government clocks are the same way–I remember watching them change when I worked so many night shifts in Washington, DC once upon a time.
Happy James Bond year to you too!
Happy New Year – you were missed!
Oh that’s great! I hadn’t thought of that.
Yeah my hubby did the same thing! Must be a guy thing…plus there were like 3 TV channels around here running James exclusively on New years too!! for the 007 new year!!
that’s awesome! he is definitely a keeper!
Happy New Year!
Hehehe, yeah, Happy James Bond Year!
I heart the Mike.
