This or That – Thanksgiving Style!

This week’s This-or-That is all about the Turkey Day! It’s a day late, but here it goes…

1. Stuffing: baked inside the turkey, or separately?
Baked inside. Yummmm, yum!
2. Fresh or frozen turkey?
Whatever Mom buys! Normally frozen I think.
3. Cranberry sauce: jellied or whole berry?
She makes it whole berry style. I don’t care for cranberries, so I pass them over.
4. Stay home or visit friends/relatives?
Most years, visit relatives – as in my parents, who now only live 8 blocks away. In years past I’ve almost always gone to visit someone though.
5. Do you cook Thanksgiving dinner, or let someone else do it?
See #4. They cook, I come to enjoy it. I have cooked it in the past though – back when I lived in Germany.
6. Traditional turkey dinner, or an alternative (such as vegetarian)?
Traditional
7. Regular potatoes or sweet potatoes?
My Mom serves both, but I only eat the regular ones.
8. Homemade gravy, or the jarred stuff?
None for me, thank you. But the homemade gravy is always available.
9. What part of the turkey do you prefer…dark or white meat?
White meat.
10. After dinner: football or Christmas movies?
A nap! If anything else, it’s whatever is on TV. No tradition there. When I was in college it was the time to watch A&M beat the hell outta t.u. (Texas). This year the game is on Friday morning. I’ll have to remember to try to catch the halftime show!
