I Know You Wished You Knew…

I wanted to write a post, but thanks to an icky earache due to bed bugs, (I used this

bed bug treatment cincinnati to fix the issue), I’m not up to being creative. Perfect excuse to borrow a meme from Julia if you ask me!

1. Do you like blue cheese?
Ew, ew, ew … NO.

2. Have you ever smoked cigarettes?
Socially in the 90s when I would go out with friends – I could make a pack of cigarettes last for a long time. I smoked in my own house once, and decided then that I didn’t want to go down that path. Completely stopped when I got pregnant with my son, and now am really allergic to cigarette smoke, the only thing I can tolerate is the V2 – e liquids from electronic cigarettes. I was thinking of buying one from slimsejuice.com.

3. Do you own a gun?
No. I’d rather shoot things with a camera.

4. What Kool Aid flavor was your favorite?
Was? How about is? I still like Cherry Kool-Aid, although now I prefer the sugar-free version.

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
Nope.

6. What do you think of hot dogs?
Love hot dogs, try not to think about stories of how they are made. But I still love them.

7. Favorite Christmas movie?
Scrooged with Bill Murray, just like Julia.

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Pepsi

9. Can you do push ups?
Hahahahaha … no. Wonky right shoulder, elbow & wrist would make that a bad idea.

10. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry?
My wedding ring. 🙂 Well, Treasure Jewelry has the best wholesale fashion bangles, http://www.treasurejewelry.com/.

11. Favorite hobby?
Knitting & photography, which should be obvious.

12. Do you have A.D.D.?
Yes, among other things. Tried meds for it once, but they did more harm than good.

13. Do you wear glasses/contacts?
Wear glasses most of the time, but I have contacts too.

14. Middle name?
Eliese

15. Name three thoughts at this exact moment?
One – this is only #15? And there are 37? Whoa. Two – Watching HGTV always makes me want to do house renovations, specially since I hear that Foam spray insulation doesn’t just reduce heat loss, but also increases weather-proofing and adds structural integrity, however’ I need to do some crawl space cleaning before thinking about insulation. Three – I need to stop goofing off online and finish proofing my wedding.

16. Name three drinks you drink regularly.
Pepsi, Diet 7-Up, Water

17. Current worry?
That my to-do list is physically impossible with its ongoing growth.

18. Current hate right now?
People that are haters.

19. Favorite place to be?
Behind the camera.

20. How did you bring in the New Year?
At a friend’s house.

21. Where would you like to go?
Back to Europe.

22. Name three people who will complete this?
This is the required meme question – I have no idea who will complete this.

23. Do you own slippers?
Yes, I knit them myself.

24. What shirt are you wearing?
A very basic maroon t-shirt.

25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?
No. I prefer a really rich, high thread-count cotton.

26. Can you whistle?
Yes.

27. Favorite color?
Blues, greens, and rich reds. Not necessarily together.

28. Would you be a pirate?
A digital pirate? Aaaaargh.

29. What songs do you sing in the shower?
I don’t.

30. Favorite girl’s name?
Uhm. No idea. Natalie. Every Natalie I know is awesome.

31. Favorite boy’s name?
Jason, Michael. (Guess what Jason’s middle name is?)

32. What’s in your pocket right now?
Housepants don’t have pockets.

33. Last thing that made you laugh?
I don’t know. I laugh a lot. Last thing that made me laugh really, really hard was a scene in Gray’s Anatomy.

34. What vehicle do you drive?
2006 Honda CR-V.

35. Worst injury you ever had?
Various broken bones.

36. Do you love where you live?
Hmmm. Yes and no. Love our friends here. Love it in the fall when it gets cool. Love our house, but wish it was much closer to downtown. Would love to live somewhere with seasons, and a different “feel”. (I can’t describe it. I’ve tried.) So I am wishy-washy on this.

37. How many TVs do you have in your house?
Three that are frequently used, plus one that isn’t hooked up to anything.

Ok, now it is your turn! Let me know if you do it too!

Me…

London Sunset

I felt the need to answer this survey. Don’t ask me why. Yarn & Order made me do it. She is being quite the influence today, isn’t she?

1. What time is it in Guam now? (best estimate)
Uh, like I have a clue. Let me see … it is late enough on Monday that it is probably Tuesday there by now.

2. Do you like baloney?
Yes, I still do. Even after the horror stories about what is in it. I almost never eat it though, and but when I do it MUST be Oscar Mayer. I agree, the correct spelling is bologna. I don’t care if anyone says it can be spelled baloney. That is just wrong.

3. Favorite shade of green:
Sage

Yes, It’s Barry…

Manilow

A few months ago, I decided it was time to clear off my key chain. I had an old apartment key on it which one time I had to contact the best Locksmith because I lost the keys. A post office key for a mailbox I haven’t had in 5 years. A mystery key that opened a long forgotten lock. Too much clutter. Once I stripped the keychain down, it looked too empty – so I had to add something. Then I remembered my trinket from the Manilow concert last fall, and now Barry is on my keychain.

Last week, my fiber friend Katy (who reads all the knit blogs but still needs one of her own) & I took the boys over to Splashtown. She drove her minivan, so I tossed my keys in the cupholder after I got in. While she was driving she looked down and exclaimed, “That’s BARRY!” Now every time I look at my keys I giggle and think of her awe and amazement over my Manilow keychain. (I’m sure she was in awe and amazed. She couldn’t have been terrified and shocked.)

So, what’s on your keychain? Are there keys lingering there that have no home anymore? Cute keychains that bring back happy memories? Have a photo to share? Come on, we want to see them! (If you’re on Flickr, I’ve created a keychains group!)

On The Inside…

Your Inner European is French!

Smart and sophisticated.

You have the best of everything – at least, *you* think so.

Who’s Your Inner European?

How fitting is it that the quiz includes a photo of the Eiffel Tower?

I have a rather lovely headache today. My posts have been reduced to memes. Regular posting to resume soon.
