You’ll Just Have to Wait…

Really, really, Bush has proof that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, but you’ll just have to wait a few years for the details.

Maybe it’s just me, but if you go to war – and in the State of the Union address last year say that you’re going because Iraq definitely has those weapons – shouldn’t you be able to give us some evidence now? I thought that was how it worked? I’m not too thrilled about someone sending my family members and friends off to fight in a war, along with spending a lot of taxpayer dollars but not having evidence to back it up. Maybe Bush should think about his own actions when he drones on about being accountable with our tax dollars?

I’m still wondering what ever happened with Bin Laden. Why doesn’t Bush ever talk about him anymore? Does he think we’ve all forgotten about that little detail?

Maybe we need to change it to “We’re huntin’ Duhbyas…” with the Elmer Fudd twang and a picture of Bush with a target on him? Oh, wait – that would get Ashcroft all over us, wouldn’t it? Hmmmm…

I don’t think it’s terribly unrealistic to think that it may take some time to put everything in order on Iraq’s WMD programs. In total, it’s an issue that the entire world was willing to sanction for more than a decade. Whether they exist now in Iraq, were dissassembled/disposed of, or sent away, I think it’s important for the entire world to get to the bottom of it.

Proof up front would have been ideal, but a pretty complete record was established by the UN throughout the 90s inspection process and none of that could be accounted for on the Iraqi side. So, I imagine they probably don’t have a lot of file drawers labeled WMD.

When the Iraqis & the UN couldn’t cooperate and Iraq didn’t show they were gone, it seemed a pretty strong case that they could use them against whatever target. Throw in a ballon and lob ’em into my yard? No, probably not. But just one bad missle into Saudi, Israel, Turkey or any number of places could have touched off a most dangerous spiral of events.

Or, I could just have a sugar headache from that kool-aid. 🙂

I agrre with what you wrote. This is one dangerous president we now have and to me right now any democrat is looking good for my vote. I supported the war when it first started but realize now Bush fooled me like he did so many others.

What’s even worse there is talk going on that Bush will try to bring back the draft if he’s re-elected.

Bin Ladin you asked? I’ll bet they get him a month before the election to make Bush look good. They could probably get him right now if they wanted to.

It’s not that we’ve forgotten about Bin Laden, it’s worse: Americans can’t tell the difference between Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden, and they think we caught him!

I’m not kidding. The night Hussein got caught, someone at work came out and said to me “Guess what, they just caught Bin Laden!” I found a TV to check the news…not quite…we’d caught Hussein.

What, they’re not the same person?
