I just had to laugh when I visited Chris’s site and read about the fact that he had company in town. No, no, company isn’t funny – but the fact that the image on the webcam (Pop-up for you to click…) showed Chris in front of the screen and said guest on the couch with his iBook at 2am, that cracked me up. Looks like something I would do!

WiFi Steps Up…
Drool. It’s all thanks to my Lockergnome Windows Daily tips. Chris commented, “No matter what we tried with this stupid Linksys four-port WAP, we couldn’t get anything going. Then, this evening, one of the ports completely crapped out. I’ve about had it with this thing; I’m actively seeking another solution.” Then he linked to U.S. Robotics Doubles Wi-Fi Speeds. Fortunately, I was told by 4 different people to avoid the LinkSys WiFi system, and my 3Com has never given me any trouble at all. But double the speed at the same cost?!? Anyone need a 3Com WiFi Access Point?
In my Pocket…
I know that Chris is a big fan of his PocketPC. I wonder if he has tried out Pocket Blog yet? It looks really cool, and it works with the Blogger API. I wonder if there is a Palm version out there somewhere? Because not all of us have PocketPCs, unfortunately…
A New Pad…
Metapad “is a small, fast (and completely free) text editor for Windows 9x and Windows NT with similar features to Microsoft Notepad but with many extra (and rather useful) features. It was designed to completely replace Notepad since it includes all of Notepad’s features and much, much more.” Looks pretty cool so far! Check it out!
Happy Moments…
Does it mean I am a true geek when I went to see why I was getting traffic from Lockergnome Tech Specialist only to squeal with joy when I saw that Randy had credited me with a find that he wrote up in the newsletter? Hmmm, probably. I even went so far as to IM Kymberlie about it, since she was on the phone with a client and I couldn’t tell her out loud.
