Lately, there have been a lot of issues with spammers attacking blogs and leaving spam in the comments. This weekend, several people that I know were victims of Lolita and her porn spam. In response, Jay Allen, along with a team of helpers, has developed the MT-Blacklist: Stop Spam Now plug-in! Let’s hear a round of applause for Jay! whoo hoo!

There are a variety of other options for stopping comment spam, many of which are listed here on ScriptyGoddess in a faboo post written by Kevin. Another good read is Yoz’s Seven Tips for a Spam Free Blog, found over at Donna’s site.

Unfortunately, I don’t have Mozilla on my work PC, so I can’t test this – but I think I have finally found the bug that was causing my page to display wrong (for lack of better term). Could some kind Mozilla user let me know if my site is behaving now?

I’m still working on my blogroll updates – there were a lot of people that I thought were on there that aren’t. I’ve only implemented the new lists in the default skin too – so if you’re using any other skin, you’re seeing my old blogrolls, and the main one is pretty much empty. Sorry. I’ll be fixing that soon!

Does anyone know how to post a partial blogroll (random list of x number of entries) in your sidebar, but display the full blogroll on a separate link page? Can you point me in the right direction?

I thought I had added it to my sidebar, but I didn’t … for those of you looking for my full RSS feed with comments included, it’s right here. Oops! Sorry about that!

Speaking of RSS feeds, Jennifer’s Feedbag page is wicked cool! Mmm… tasty feeds. I’m planning on adding the code this weekend so you can leave your feed address with your comments here, so get those feeds ready!

By the way, Mike, who is so wonderful as it is, created a script for me so I could moblog to MT using a SprintPCS phone. (The MT plugin that is out there won’t work for Sprint’s funky system.) I haven’t bothered to make it pretty yet, but you can see the photos here. Much fun was had tonight, and I’ll post all of my photos online soon – have to enjoy this Samarita first though…
