TiVo, TiVo, TIVO!!!

I love, love, LOVE my TiVo! They have given those of us with a Series 2 Tivo a 1 month free trial of the Home Media Option! We had talked about buying it after the wedding, so now we can take it for a test spin before we buy! How fabulous is that?

We already had WiFi set up for the TiVo, so now I just need to download the desktop software. One question though … our TiVo only “checks in” once a day. If I am using the remote scheduling, I want it to check for updates at least once an hour, if not more. I know it can be done because it has been mentioned in the PVR Blog, but I have no idea how to do it. Anyone know how? Care to walk me through it?

Runovers…

First Friends goes off the air. Then, as if that’s not bad enough, they took too much time getting out the door – and ran over 6-7 minutes. This of course caused my Tivo to record 9 – 10 for ER – chopping off the end of the show!

Fortunately, Television Without Pity had a brief recap, but if you can fill me in from the graduation scene to the end of the show, that would be great!

Beyotch is all I Can Say…

Miss USA is on TV right now. I find myself muttering “beyotch!” over and over as I watch. I ate dinner earlier, but this makes me want to never ever eat again.

How much does it suck that 51 women make it to the finals, but after the initial introductions are made all but 15 are kicked off – within minutes of the show starting. They don’t even get to wear their formal dresses. That just sucks.

Why is Jeff Gordon a judge? And who is that male MC? Is it just me, or are his cheesy comments enough to grate on your nerves?

I think it’s time I turn off the TV…

Wrong. Just WRONG.

Kathy & Tom, Kenny & Elaine, Mandy, Matt, and Kymberlie came over tonight for dinner. The topic of movies that we have seen and haven’t seen came up. I was just informed that they are filming a remake of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. For the record, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is one of my all time favorite movies. I love that movie. I love the cheesy ’70s aspect of the movie. It simply rocks.

On that note, a remake of that movie is just WRONG. I don’t care if Johnny Depp is in it. I don’t care if Tim Burton is doing it. It is wrong, wrong, wrong.

By the way, you know you have a house full of bloggers and blog readers when there is laughter over the fact that you are immediately leaving the room to blog about the wrongness of this remake.

The movie topic came up, by the way, because Jason watched Tron tonight for the very first time.

And Your Point Is?

WARNING: Average Joe spoilers ahead. Proceed with caution. If you watched the show – or if you didn’t because you just don’t care – I need your feedback.

On a side note, Adam returns in two weeks. Now I have something else to look forward to on March 15!
