While some cameras have the screen on the back that swivels out so you can see yourself as you compose photos for Picture Yourself, the new Minolta Dimage X20 has a mirror on the front of the camera. Nothing like taking it back to the basics! [Via Jish]

Toxic Glue…
I think it’s time to admit that I’ve watched too much Seinfeld lately. I’m starting to think of all of my life experiences, all of my blog reads, everything as Seinfeld moments. Today I had an encounter with toxic glue.
I don’t normally chew gum, but for some reason I snagged a piece of Trident Spearmint gum from my co-worker’s candy tray. I was happily chewing my gum, minding my own business. Then I had to lick some envelopes to seal them. Normally the envelopes have a minty taste to the glue, and I don’t mind licking them. Well, not like I do it all the time for fun, but they’re ok when you have to do it.
Unless you’ve been chewing spearmint gum.
If you’ve been chewing gum like I was, they glue on the envelopes tastes just like plain glue. Like Elmer’s School Glue. Not that I’ve ever tasted Elmer’s glue, uhhh… but you know. Glue. Ick. Gross.
My whole life is turning in to a Seinfeld episode…
Things I Did Not Do…
There are a bunch of things I wanted to do last night, but by the time I got home I was too tired – I’m amazed I even managed to get one of the Lomo shots posted at Pixelog. (I really love how that photo came out!) So here is my list of things I did not do:
:: Send out the Evite for “H-Town Meets Beantown” on Friday, August 1st. Everyone’s invited, so if you want an Evite, get your e-mail address to me.
:: Send Erika e-mail about the event – guess I need to finalize the location before I send that Evite, huh? (Suggestions anyone?)
:: Edit my submission for Inkblots that I found out on Tuesday I could write. Tuesday to Thursday proved to not be enough time, unfortunately. Maybe next round.
:: Answer the two weeks worth of e-mail I have waiting for me. Wait, almost 3 weeks worth now.
:: Add photos to my Lomohome.
:: Fix the Blogomania webring page.
:: Fix the Blogomania Guest List.
:: Answer more e-mail.
:: Fix the CSS on some of my skins. (Hi Matt!)
:: Clean the kitchen.
:: Finish organizing my bookshelves.
Wow. I have a lot to do over the weekend! But know what I really want to do? Head to Galveston. I have a feeling some of this is just going to have to go until next week.
Loving the Lomo!
I received my Lomo on a cloudy day, so the first round of pictures I took with it weren’t that great. I didn’t give up though – I loaded up a second roll of film and went off on another photo hunt. I just finished off the second roll and had them developed today and there were definitely more “keepers” in this batch! Mad props to Heather for the tip on shooting in bright sunlight – that really helped give some of them the “Lomoesque” zing! Brightly colored subjects helped too. Don’t think, just shoot…
I’ll post some of them over the next few days in the Pixelog. Of course, if you’re using a skin with the most recent photo, you’ll be among the first to see them!
It’s Stuck and It Won’t Get Out!
I’m just a bill.
Yes, I’m only a bill.
And I’m sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it’s a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It’s a long, long wait
While I’m sitting in committee,
But I know I’ll be a law someday
At least I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill…
Come on, sing it with me! It’s stuck in my head – now it can be stuck in yours too!
Congressman: He signed you, Bill! Now you’re a law!
Bill: Oh yes!!!
