Scott Andrew performed at Fray Cafe at SXSW, and I was lucky enough to get a copy of the “American Thing EP” CD he was passing out at the show. I just popped it in the CD player here at work, and can I just say that this is some good stuff? He offers MP3s for download on his site, if you want to check them out. I highly recommend it!

Get With the Program…
Heading off to bed and about to turn off the TV, I noticed that Conan O’Brien is talking about the Jesus Statues. Conan! Get with the program! I wrote about those almost a year ago (3/21/2002).
Maybe Conan’s writers need news readers and blog feeds (RSS 2.0 Rocks!) so he can stay on top of these things?
Fishy Kisses…
Just wanted to send some fishy kisses and birthday wishes to Kymberlie! Hope you have a fantastic day – it looks like it’s off to a good start already! Do you think the boss would buy it if I told him I needed tomorrow off to continue our tradition of birthday lunches? Probably not – but I’ll be thinking of you! Hope all of your wishes come true!
It’s a Trade Off…
Well, if I can’t have a Buddy Jesus, at least there is always Boogie Jesus from Courtney, the Geeky Chick to keep me amused!
Speaking of amusement – Procter & Gamble discovered in a recent study that “consumers who fast-forward through ads with digital personal video recorders such as Tivo still recall those ads at roughly the same rates as people who see them at normal speed in real time.” I’m not surprised – I fast forward through many ads, but I can still recall most of the ones I’ve seen. Have I mentioned lately that I love my Tivo?
An End to the Crash…
Dawn and others have reported to me recently that they have had problems leaving comments on my site while using Safari. Well, bigger than problems – it crashes the browser. I wrote Jay about it this weekend, since I know he was a victim of my crashes and asked him to poke around and see if he could find the bug. It seems it was in the processing.php page (which I need for the restricted access posts) and I begged Jennifer for her help fixing it. She knew the issue was in that file, and now she has found the specific code that was causing the error and she has fixed for it! Yeah! The ScriptyGoddess rocks!
I am curious though – why is there a browser out there that just completely crashes on a line of code? Shouldn’t it just throw an error message and move on? That would bug me if my browser just fell over on me like that!
