Busy Day…

It’s been a busy day. Stamping class over lunch in downtown (we made coasters, and they are VERY cute), followed by my attempt to buy an ornament for my Mom (failed, they sold out of them before Christmas), followed by picking up lunch at Jason’s Deli, spending a little time with Emily, sitting in horrid traffic as I tried to get home, picking up Jason, attempting to buy the calendar I wanted but still can’t find (guess I’ll have to make my own), coming home, dinner, getting Jason ready for the first day back to school, going through 600+ spam messages, finding the real e-mail in the middle of all of them, and some happy chat time on IM.

I walked more today than I have in some time. My legs are screaming at me already, I know they will really hate me tomorrow. Oh well, it’s my goal.

I’m tired. It’s been a long day. The only thing that really sums it up is to say ….

Ding! Fries are done!

Why is this blog CONSTANTLY, OBSESIVELY linked, associated and reffered by this one? What the Frikin’ Frik is going on? Leave me the Frik alone. EVERYWHERE I go to find out what’s going on with my blog all I see is wierd ass BIG PINK COOKIE. Keep your frikin’ cookies to yourself

The funny (and stupid) thing about the whole thing is that after a tertiary (sp) glance I thought I was not linked. But I guess I am. Oooops.

Eccentrics do have their prerogatives (pronounced Sorry about that)

There you go. Some blogs to make you laugh, some with pretty pictures. The ones with astericks live right here in Houston, and that makes me extra happy. It’s good to know the locals, and Houston has a fantastic blogging crowd. Speaking of which, I’m having lunch with Kathy today, and I can’t wait! Ta-ta for now, more later…

Ashley, we really need to get together for lunch! Also, I’ll add you to my Evite list for the Happy Hour we’re doing in about 2 weeks! 😀

Busy day!

Whew! What a busy day it has been. I got up super early and did a bunch of work from home. Then on my way to the office I decided to stop & get gas and a “quick” car wash. Ugh. The first 2 times through the car wash wouldn’t run! I kept having to go in and get a new number. Finally the third time it worked. Then I got to the office, only to get a call from John Solanto saying that our meeting spot was being moved. He thought I would need extra time to get there, but since I took Beltway 8 it was actually really fast – got there in 30 minutes. (In Houston, that’s a short drive.) I did leave early just in case I couldn’t find the Olive Garden on 59 at Bissonet (I did have to hunt for it since coming North from the Beltway it’s at the Beechnut/Gessner exit) Had a nice lunch with John and another person in the industry that he knows. Hopefully it will bring all of us more business. I love networking! Then it was back to the office, but not without stopping first at the EZ-Tag story. I have needed one for ages, and I couldn’t put it off any longer. No more quarters for me on the toll road! I can just whoosh right on through the EZ-tag lane now! Then back to the office to deal with several little things and work on a big quote. Now I am wrapping up and heading home. I feel like I have been running all day, but it’s a good feeling since I also feel like I got a lot accomplished.

Naomi & I keep talking about that Shakespeare for the L33t movie clip. It makes me laugh every time we talk about it. Fuxor! I think it’s just a riot. We are also getting new hard drives for our home computers thanks to one of the Chris’s here at work. He is selling me his 15gb 7200rpm Maxtor drive for my old PC with the dead hard drive. (It was a 6gb one, so the added space will be good for storing more mp3s) He is selling Naomi his 40gb 7200rpm Maxtor drive. She really needs the room with all the software she runs plus graphic files, font files, and filepile files! I was going to go with a 30gb Maxtor, but we were concerned that the bios couldn’t handle it plus his is much less expensive. I really only use the pc for occasional surfing, printing, and burning CDs. Jason has games he likes to play on it, so I am sticking with Windows 98 so they will run. I don’t know what sort of compatibility issues I would run into with Windows 2000 or ME.
