I think the time has now come to stop blogging. No, no, not a matter of trolls or anything like that. Oh no. Barbie has a blog. So do several of her friends, like Madison and Chelsea. Targeted to girls between 10 – 14. I would have totally gone for it when I was 10. Now it just amuses me. Did I mention that they are Cam Girls too? No, I’m not kidding. A year ago I said that it was amusing that we never see characters on TV using the Internet or going so far as to have a blog. Last week on Friends, Ross & Chandler were using an alumni reunion site. It’s only a matter of time before Rachel has a baby blog – or Monica has a pregnancy blog. Personally, I would love to see Phoebe take over my “Bunny Does it Better” site and chronicle her dating life. Wouldn’t that be hysterical?

I never really posted about the Bloggies last week. I told Nikolai that he may as well make me co-host for the awards because I was giving out prizes for 3 categories and accepting awards for a zillion more. It was a huge honor to be there to accept for ScriptyGoddess (twice), Nerdboy Mikey (I need your address!) and GeekGrrl. However, I think the highlight of the whole thing for me had to be the chance to give Ernie the prize I had purchased earlier that day on 6th Street in Austin. When he won Best Gay/Lesbian Blog, I officially crowned him King of the World. I think the rainbow chain link necklaces add a really nice touch, don’t you?

How about we just stop using anything based on France altogether? Here you go – English Sans French. If we’re going to get extreme, let’s go all the way. [via Metafilter]

Forget the French Freedom Fry thing from Tuesday, now there has been a bill proposed to allow return of U.S. vets buried in France. I’m just sitting here shaking my head…
