Living in the Blog-osphere – another well written Blog article. I like how it talks about the “other” blogs out there, not just the ones you always hear about in the media.

Glory, glory hallelujah! Antiterror TIPSter plan to be overhauled! “A Bush administration proposal for a network of antiterrorism tipsters is being overhauled, thanks to harsh criticism that it would encourage Americans to spy on one another.” Someone finally woke up and realized where this was going! “The program came under heavy assault from civil libertarians and many in Congress, and the House passed a bill last month introduced by House Majority Leader Dick Armey, R-Texas, that would prohibit it.” PROHIBIT it. And if that wasn’t enough, “the Postal Service balked at its inclusion and other industries also expressed reservations, saying they didn’t want their workers looked at by customers as potential spies.” [via kuro5hin]

Thank you for proving to me, for a change, that there are still a few sane people in our government. I guess it is noteworthy that Duhbya is down here in Texas right now. I wonder if he’s communing with his cows again?

Robyn will be so proud. I actually heard about the fact that Nicolas Cage married Lisa Marie Presley, thanks to my co-workers. Tod, Chris & I were returning from a client meeting this morning when the conversation somehow turned to the fact that they had gotten married. Someone made a really good point though – how could he marry someone that was once married to Michael Jackson? That man is just wrong on so many, many levels. He’s turned himself white and he has a sliver for a nose. He’s just creepy. Speaking of Michael Jackson, do you think that Michael and Janet are really one in the same person? Because you know … you never see them together. Sure, they are on videos together – but that’s easy to fake. Could they be the same person? Come on, what do you think? And how about Lisa Marie marrying Nicholas Cage? I just don’t see it…

JPII? Who’s that? Why it’s Pope John Paul II – but that’s too long to put on the back of his new Harlem Globetrotter’s Honorary Team member jersey. Uh huh, honorary team member. I’m glad they don’t expect him to actually play, because let’s be honest. That would take a miracle. (Now I’m off to say 5 Hail Mary’s and 10 Our Father’s for saying something so … wrong.)
