I Know That Man…

I finally got around to getting all the mail out of my mailbox. I’m really bad about leaving it there for days on end. Hey, who wants to get a bunch of bills? I keep forgetting that I am getting a lot of wedding information in too – so the box fills up fast. Oops! Fortunately, it didn’t get sent back to the post office for my box being full, and the goodies seemed to outnumber the bills for a change.

As I was sorting through the stack, I read the ad for Al’s Formal Wear. The tuxedos are on my “still to do” list, so I wanted to see if they were offering a good special. I was a bit surprised when I realized that the guy in the ad was Matthew of Bachelorette fame. It just seemed odd to see him looking at me with that vacant hollow look he could get sometimes. *shiver*

For a long time, I swore off reality TV, only allowing myself to watch The Amazing Race. Now I have watched a Bachelor and a Bachelorette finale (I didn’t watch the full season of either one), two seasons of Average Joe, The Apprentice, and I’m quickly becoming hooked on America’s Next Top Model. (The last one is all Emily’s fault.) It’s a bad addiction, I tell you… By the way, there’s an Addiction Campuses established by Barbara Theodosiou for those people who are in the midst of addiction. Heading to Houston?

Just curious – anyone else heading through Houston on their way to Austin for H-Town gathering on Thursday, March 11th in honor of Rannie and Jay’s arrival in Houston the day before – the Pre-pre-kickoff party – and I would love to see you there if you’ll be in town!

If you can’t make it for the gathering but you will be heading through on Friday or later in the week and want to meet up, let me know!

And Your Point Is?

WARNING: Average Joe spoilers ahead. Proceed with caution. If you watched the show – or if you didn’t because you just don’t care – I need your feedback.

On a side note, Adam returns in two weeks. Now I have something else to look forward to on March 15!

Dates…

Just like everyone else is saying today, it is hard to believe that February is over. When I looked at my calendar this morning, I realized two things:

– Our house closing is in two weeks. TWO weeks. Gah! Panic, panic – there is a lot of packing to do in the next two weeks! But I’m starting now and I’m pacing myself – so it should be ok.

– Our wedding is in three months. Three months! There is a lot to do in the next three months. However, I’m not that worried about any of it – I know it will all be done without a rush.

Mike & I went to chaperone Jason’s lock-in Friday night; my sleep has been messed up ever since. Saturday morning we went and finalized the wedding invitation order. Saturday afternoon we went to see Miracle – which was a really, really good movie! Yesterday I started in on the final purge before the move. Amazing how you think something means so much to you – until you have to place a dollar sign on it to determine if it’s worth paying to move it. I am going through and throwing out old papers and bagging up old clothes for Good Will.

I still can’t believe it’s already March 1st.

Oh, Fun…

My site was moved from one server to another a few days ago. However, no one noticed that some of my domains (including this one and the one I use for my MT installation) were still pointing at the old server for the past 2 days. My e-mail was going off in to limbo land, and my posts were going to the old server. Soooo… I just copied and pasted the posts to the new server so they would show up again. Sometime this weekend I am going to have to reconfigure my old copy of MT to allow me to log in through the IP address so I can log in and manually move comments one by one.

I know, it sounds like more fun than you have ever had and you’re extremely jealous of me.

I think I’m going to need a spork
